Q: What version of Google Earth should I use?
A: Version 4.0.2416 (beta) can be downloaded at http://earth.google.com/earth4.html

Q: Does my computer support the latest version of Google Earth?
A: In the Google Earth client click on HELP and select CHECK FOR UPDATES ONLINE

Q: What are the best settings to view EarthSkins?
A: Use default settings. Go to TOOLS -> OPTIONS and click RESET TO DEFAULT for each tab (3D View, Cache, Touring, Navigation, General). We also recommend that you clear your cache by going to the CACHE tab in TOOLS -> OPTIONS and clicking and CLEAR MEMORY CACHE and CLEAR DISK CACHE

Q: Why are there duplicate placemarks on the screen?
A: You may have more than one EarthSkin loaded into Google Earth. Go to your PLACES tab in the sidebar and save any KMZs in TEMPORARY PLACES that you wish to keep by right-clicking and selecting SAVE TO MY PLACES. Delete any KMZs you no longer need by right-clicking and selecting DELETE. Then uncheck the boxes next to MY PLACES and TEMPORARY PLACES. Finally, check the box next to "CFL 2006 Grey Cup Winnipeg" to see the EarthSkin.

Q: Why is the EarthSkin not updating?
A: Google Earth saves time by caching images and placemarks. Sometimes when you upload a new version of an EarthSkin, the old version is still cached in Google Earth. The best way to get the latest updates is to clear your CACHE (TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> and CLEAR MEMORY CACHECLEAR DISK CACHE)

Q: Can I follow the blimp around the stadium?
A: Yes, you can ride in the blimp to see all the views of the stadium. Just go to your sidebar and right-click on the BLIMP NETWORK LINK (TEMPORARY PLACES -> CFL GREY CUP WINNIPEG 2006 -> CFL GREY CUP 2006 -> STADIUM -> BLIMP). Select PROPERTIES and check the box next to FLY TO VIEW ON REFRESH in the REFRESH tab.

Q: How did you make the blimp move and the videotron update?
A: For all you KML coders out there, we've added some server technology that sends a new placemark with location information, new images and models via a network link.

Q: How did you design the models to look so detailed?
A: Google Earth 4 now allows textures to be added to models. We used textures on the surfaces of our models to match their real-life design.

Q: How did you make the stadium lights?
A: We used a transparent image to create the glow of lights used in the stadium lights.
